Hi, I’m Kelly

I live on Camano Island, where the mist rolls in off the water and the forest stays green all year. Everything in this shop is made here, by me.

I started making skincare in 2001, for my own sensitive, acne-prone skin. Nothing I bought helped without irritation. Then my daughters developed eczema, and I got serious. I studied botanicals and actives and how they work with the skin. Small blends for my family became blends for friends, then retail, then a professional line used by estheticians and spas. That is LaDream.

I’m also a painter. Oils, watercolors and, lately, soft pastels. My formal dining room is now my studio. The rest of the house is covered with paintings.

Then I locked myself away for three years and wrote a novel. Moon Gate Prophecies is an enemies-to-lovers fae romantasy, and I painted all 14 of its watercolor illustrations myself. Its heroine, Wyendaria, is an Emeraldian fae who hides behind a glamour. She is an Enchantress who earns her living mending the sick and selling enchantments from her apothecary shop.

Somewhere along the way, I realized I had written my own job into her.

So I stopped keeping three separate worlds. Ebonshire Apothecary is Wyen’s shop in the book, and now it’s a real one. LaDream is the skincare on its shelves: real formulas, handmade in small batches, with names that belong in a fae market. The signed books are here too. So are the paintings, the art prints and the map of the Land of Petra.

Come for the serum and stay for the story. Or the other way around.

Either way, welcome in!
